My career has combined more than 20 years of experience teaching at the university and college level in the U.S. and Canada, with management-level expertise in communications, public relations, marketing, fundraising, and board management. In all these capacities,I have been motivated by a fascination with language and communication, delivering a persuasive message to an engaged audience, and nurturing an authentic creative voice.

Recently, I have taught strategy and management consulting to Executive MBA students. I was a speechwriter for the President of the University of Southern California, shaping his message for a range of audiences and advancing the university brand. As Senior Writer, USC Development Communications, I crafted campaign publications, articles, donor profiles, fundraising proposals, and advertising promotions --- and was involved with USC's $2.8 billion dollar capital campaign in various capacities from its inception to completion.

As Director of Corporate Relations at the USC Marshall School of Business; Director of Bioscience Development at the University of Prince Edward Island; President and CEO of the IWK Health Centre Foundation; and Director of Development for the William J. Clinton Foundation, I advanced my organizations' priorities and related fundraising and communications. Having earned a second master's degree in Professional Writing, I utilize language in an additional capacity, creating stage plays produced in Canada and the U.S.,and serving as a Governor of The National Theatre School of Canada.
